Broderick & Davenport, PLLC Release regarding Covid-19

As many of you are aware, our senior partner David Broderick recently tested positive for the covid-19 virus. Let us first say thank you to the many clients, friends and members of the legal community who have extended their wishes and prayers. Thankfully, David is recovering and his prognosis is very good. The firm will continue to follow strictly the orders of the Governor’s Office and the directives of the Barren River District Health Department. Consistent with those directives, Broderick and Davenport, PLLC has taken the following measures:
- The firm was closed Thursday March 19, with attorneys working remotely from home. The firm will remain closed Friday March 20, again with attorneys working remotely from home. During this closure, attorneys and paralegals will remain reachable via email, as well as by phone. All calls to the firm will be forwarded to the appropriate personnel by the firm’s call service.
- The offices of Broderick & Davenport, PLLC are being cleaned and sanitized to medical standards during this period of closure.
- The firm will reopen Monday March 23, 2020. Consistent with orders of the Governor’s office, the number of in-office staff and visitors will be limited, with the remainder of staff working remotely. In-office staff, as well as any visitors, shall be required to follow strictly the social distancing directives currently in place. Whenever possible, teleconferencing and/or videoconferencing shall be encouraged.
- Pursuant to the directives of the Barren River District Health Department, members of the firm’s staff who have been deemed by the Health Department to be at risk of exposure have voluntarily quarantined and will satisfy the periods of quarantine directed by the Health Department.
We understand individuals who may have had contact with our attorneys, staff or offices in preceding days may be concerned about any risk of exposure. The firm and its staff have worked in concert with the Barren River District Health Department to identify any persons that may possibly have had the level of contact that would result in an increased risk of exposure. Those individuals will be contacted directly by the Health Department who will determine any risk of exposure. We are assured that the simple presence in our office, receipt of mail from our office, or direct contact with other attorneys or staff do not represent a risk of exposure.
